Art  Gallery

Galería Dolores Garcia y Gilberto Cardenas

Located at La Casa de Amistad in South Bend, Indiana, the Galería Dolores Garcia y Gilberto Cardenas celebrates the rich heritage and profound creativity of Latin American artists. This gallery is dedicated to showcasing a diverse range of artistic expressions that narrate and celebrate Latin American culture.

Galería Dolores Garcia y Gilberto Cardenas sets out to create a deeper understanding and appreciation of Latin American arts within the community. By providing an accessible space where art transcends cultural boundaries, we strive to spark dialogue, unite diverse communities, and offer a platform for cultural exchange.

Our Collection

2024 Fall Exhibition:  “Cambiando el mundo juntos con amor y paz / Changing the World Together with Love and Peace” | Curated by Freddy Rodriguez

Each Galería public exhibition features over 20 original works from prominent Latin American artists. Each piece in our collection has been carefully curated to represent the vibrancy and diversity of Latin American art. Our exhibitions are designed to engage, educate, and inspire visitors with the beauty and depth of these cultural expressions.
There is something powerful in the simplicity of love and peace, yet these words carry the weight of the world within them. To stand in a space that honors this vision, this hope for a world transformed by love and peace, is a gift we will never forget. The gallery, bearing our names, speaks to a story of love’s enduring legacy, of peace born from struggle. We thank you for giving that story a home here.

"Cambiando el Mundo Juntos Con Amor y Paz"—This is our invocation. A reminder that the work of art is not just to reflect the world as it is, but to insist upon what it could be. The artists who have come together in this exhibit understand that. Each stroke of the brush, each crafted piece, is a testament to a world not yet here, but waiting for us to summon it.
