Hispanic Heritage month 2026
During Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 to October 15), the City of South Bend and La Casa de Amistad honor and celebrate leaders who have been instrumental to the Hispanic history and culture of South Bend. This year we will be hosting a community celebration to honor these leaders on Thursday, October 8, 2026 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

As a part of Hispanic Heritage Month, the City of South Bend and La Casa de Amistad will honor local Hispanic leaders whose dedication, vision, and advocacy uplift our community. The award celebrates individuals who remain deeply connected to their cultural heritage while cultivating growth, creating opportunities, and inspiring the next generation.
Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to celebrate the stories, achievements, and contributions of Hispanic leaders who make a difference every day. We invite you to help us honor those who uplift others. By submitting a nomination, you are helping us highlight the strength, culture, and spirit of our community.
2026 Community Celebration and Awards: Thursday, October 7th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Doors open at 6 p.m and ceremony begins at 6:30 p.m. with entertainment and dinner following.
