Why Give
La Casa de Amistad has a strong interest in the well-being and vitality of the community in which we live and work. We also believe that the ever-growing Latino population can have a positive impact in making Michiana a great place to visit, live, work, and play.
Latinos are the fastest-growing group in Michina, having increased in numbers by nearly 400% in only a decade. The secret to La casa de Amistad's success is in its commitment to collaborations with other Michiana organizations and individuals. These collaborative efforts mean that we can provide Latinos with access to a wide array of needed services in a cost-effective manner. Our budget is a little more than $275,000 annually.
But this level of funding is needed simply to maintain La Casa de Amistad current programs. In order to secure current funding and to grow a strong base of giving support from others for future program expansion, La Casa de Amistad depends on investments from those who understand that a vibrant, productive Latino community is vital to Michiana's long-term prosperity and quality of life.
