Grants, Grants, Grants… Great News!
As any small non-profit knows, grants are a life blood of support for our work. However, they are also a sign of success, as funders review your work and their trust helps validate your work.
We want to share some great grants news, in not one, but several new grants that we have received recently.
Dollar General – $10,000 – Literary Grant
Improving literacy in any community benefits all and we thank Dollar General for trusting us in this important community work.
Ready to Grow Saint Joe – $4,686 – Yo Puedo Leer
This grant for our award-winning preschool program will help to improve and maintain a high-quality early childhood learning environment and allow us to continue to improve our program. To keep our track record of success, we need to improve and grow the program and this grant helps us do just that! The grant will cover some needed equipment for the classroom as well as help us license COR (Child Observation Record) Advantage so we can track, assess, and report on outcomes better.
Old National Bank – $5,000 – Yo Puedo Leer
Once again our award winning bilingual preschool program receives funding that allows us to reduce costs for families enrolled in the program. The financial institution also wants to get involved as volunteers in the program and we can’t be happier to have both the monetary and service donation!
PNC Bank – $3,000 – Grow Up Great Grant
Funding for our youth programming to help with early learning program “Yo Puedo Leer”. So many supporters for this critical community program. Thank you PNC!
Also… we just received news from United Way about their four year grant funding cycle and we will be reporting soon on that grant as well! Stay tuned to hear about all the great ways we are impacting the community.
