We are proud to be a partner in helping bring a unique and informative dataset to the Michiana Region. We worked in partnership with the United Religious Communities (URC) and several other key stakeholder groups to bring an interesting data report from a national group called New American Economy.
In late April 2018 the data was launched through a series of public and private meetings. The report shows the impact and economic value that immigrants bring to our area. While it doesn’t not include the impact of the Latino population in general, it does show how immigrants from all over the world are coming to call our South Bend Region home.
We want to thank Lisa Stockberger and John Pinter for their hard work on this project and special partners like the Regional Development Authority and South Bend Regional Chamber for supporting the initiative.
Please download this “Gateways for Growth” report from NEA. We would love to hear your thoughts on the report. It includes both anecdotal stories and data from the Census and the American Community Surveys. More Citations on the report.
